Men's Body Language
With several forms of communication being introduced everyday, many of us fail to realize the important role that body language has played over the years. Sure, today with almost everyone using mobile phones and other devices to communicate and talk to people, body language may seem rather unimportant, however it is. This is particularly true when you are having a face-to-face conversation with someone, whether in person or while video calling each other. Anyone who wishes to be able to send the right message across, whether while at work or while talking to friends, should know how important a part body language plays.
Men’s body language can be identified as being used for different purposes. Often, it is easy to tell if a person is stressed, or is being aggressive, by simple body language such as facial expressions and movement of their legs and arms
If you wish to understand men’s body language better, there are plenty of books and articles both in print form and online, that provide good descriptions. You could also find several videos that aim to give the person watching, a good idea of certain essential aspects of men’s body language, such as how to figure out if they are being deceptive, too romantic or even threatening!
Generally, you can tell a lot about men’s body language especially if they stand very close to you. This usually means that they are comfortable with you. A word of caution however, you need to be able to draw the line between being an acceptable distance from you and him getting too close, depending on how well you know the person. Always look into his eyes because if he is trying to keep something from you, he would find it hard to look at you directly, and may look away several times. The feet and head position of a man can also tell you a lot about men’s body language.
It is important to keep in mind that often, men’s body language may differ from one culture to another. What is thought to be common men’s body language in western countries may be uncommon or even found to be offensive men’s body language in an eastern country. It is best therefore, to have a good idea of at least what people from other cultures would find offensive men’s body language, as your entire conversation could go the wrong way, even if you mean well.
