Billiards 9 Ball

The billiards 9 ball is played with nine objects balls which have numbers from one to nine with one more cue ball. You have to strike the ball starting with lowest numbered one. But you need not pocket them in order. If the player pockets the ball, he should take turns for another one and should continue until he misses. If there is a miss, the next player should start from the position left by the previous one. The billiards 9 ball does not require calling any shot. If the player won the required number of games, the match ends.

In billiards 9 ball, the object balls are arranged in diamond shape with number one ball at the top and the number nine ball in the center and other balls in the random position. They are arranged as tightly as possible. The cue ball should be kept behind the head string to start the game. In the billiards 9 ball, the breaker should strike the one number ball first. He should drive at least four numbered balls to the rails. If the cue ball goes off the table or pocketed, this is called as foul. The next player may have the cue ball anywhere on the table. No other ball except the number 9 ball is re-spotted.

In the billiards 9 ball game, the next shot after a legal break may continue until he misses or fouls or wins the game. If the first player misses or fouls, the game would be transferred to the next player. The shooter may also play a push out so that the cue ball will be moved to a better position. The player should announce that he is going to play a push out or else the shot will be thought as a normal one. But if you pocket any ball during push out, this will not be considered as a pocket. But the ball still remains as pocketed. The exception to this is 9 number ball.

In billiards 9 ball, one loses the game if he fouls three times consecutively provided the warning is given between the second and third fouls. The game would start as the ball crosses over the head string. It is essential to contact the number 1 ball on the break shot. If the 9 number ball is pocketed, the game would end. The innings of a player would end if he misses or fouls or wins.
